When I hit fifty, I was looking for a change. I was in a failing marriage, overweight, over-worked and seeking a new challenge. I had tried just about every workout and diet over the years because my weight had fluctuated from “in shape” to overweight on a frequent basis. I didn’t want the “quick fix” to solve my weight issues and I wanted to live as long as I could while being as healthy and sane as I could possibly be. When I met Ms. Wilson at a retirement event in Savannah, she began to share some information about healthy living. I could see and feel the passion pouring out of her as she crossed a myriad of subjects. Then, I witnessed her and her daughters chose healthier alternatives when the lot of us were gorging ourselves on some of that good ole southern cooking in Savannah GA. I said to myself that either she is a mean Mommy or they practice good eating habits and it’s a lifestyle for them. It’s one thing for someone to talk about it, but when they live it, it comes across as very credible. I just had to find out more.
Once in the Road to wellness program, I felt cheated as if I should have known or been taught these principles of living a healthy and balanced lifestyle before my fifties. I should have learned this information I gained in the program early in life, so I could have taken better care of myself. I now really understand the meaning and importance of balance and why it’s critical to living healthy. I wish this information was taught in every school throughout the country. This program made me feel like I had gained a new lease on life. I also, feel in control of me now, because I understand the value of it all.
One of my absolute biggest challenges before starting The Road To Wellness was giving myself praise for any improvements. It’s often easy for me to beat myself up when I fall short, but it just killed me to pat myself on the back when things were going right where I could see or feel accomplishment and Ta-Wanda picked up on that and helped me appreciate and acknowledge my accomplishments.
Ta-Wanda is a true professional and absolutely loves what she does. Passionate is an understatement! She also cares about you as a client, and I saw that first hand when I wasn’t being accountable and smart with my actions. I don’t think I could have found anyone better and more dedicated to helping me attain my goals and become educated at the same time. I am constantly saying Ta-Wanda is a lifesaver, and the best holistic practitioner you will ever have the opportunity to meet. You won’t find anyone that is more caring about helping people live a healthy lifestyle. It’s easier to make tough changes in life when you can fully understand their positive impacts.
My biggest suggestion if you are going to work with Ta-Wanda is be honest, open, accountable, focused and finally be excited, you will get the best results!

Ta-Wanda is amazing! As a business owner and mom, I had limited time so I ate out in restaurants almost every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I was introduced to Ta-Wanda in about 1995 and became a client a few years later after I had a horrible issue with Gallstones. I was hospitalized and was told that I was not able to leave unless I had surgery.
I called Ta-Wanda and she told me exactly what to do and I left the hospital without having to have surgery. I am still a faithful client til this day. She makes healthy live easy for me and I am thankful. I also love that she not only teaches others how to live but she actually lives that type of lifestyle.
